Horse Owner= Professional Pooper Scooper

For all the horse lovers out there, you know how much work it is to take care of a horse… let alone more than one! They eat a lot, they always seem to make big messes in their stalls, and they love to have attention. So needless to say, owning a horse is not for the faint-of-heart because there is a ton of work that is required daily to make sure that you are taking good and proper care of them. I created a short list of all the chores you have to do when owning a horse.

1. Feeding

Horses are large animals that eat a lot! They are grazers that need to have either plenty of hay or pasture to munch on at almost all times. You must also feed them a good balance of grain once or twice a day to provide them with the right amount of vitamins and minerals they will not get from the hay or grass.

2. Watering

When horses are eating almost constantly, they tend to get very thirsty. You must keep cool and fresh water somewhere where they will have easy access to drinking as much as they would like.

3. Scoopin’ Poop

Well, when you put food and water in one end of a horse… its gotta come out the other end eventually! This makes a lot of work to keep their stalls clean. You must daily muck the manure out of their stalls to provide them a clean place to sleep or rest.

4. Grooming

A horse’s fur coat is kept much healthier and nice looking when you take the time to brush them. This also provides a perfect time for the love and attention they desire from their owners.

5. Exercising

Horses need plenty of exercise to stretch and use their muscles. Especially if your horse is confined to a stall without a pasture to be able to roam in, it is important that you ride or lung them daily. This will keep them happier and healthier.
